We hope you all are staying cool and safe in this crazy hot weather.
We really enjoyed having Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardners join us last week. If you missed out, no worries, they will be back! Come by August 13, August 27 or September 10. They come with free reference materials, offer free mentorship AND can take soil samples from community members to process for $2. Soil sample testing is critical to having a garden that thrives.
Here's a list of what you'll be getting in today's share:
-Tomatoes! They are coming!
-Boxes include a mix of heirloom slicers, golden cherry, and paste
-Adirondack Blue Potatoes (look as good as they taste)
-Sweet Yellow Onions
-Parsley, Sage and Garlic Chives
Here are today's special items:
Protein for omnivore share- Sweet Italian Sausage and Chicken Breast
Baked goods from Bee's Knees Bakery- Ginger Cookies (Eva's favorite!)
Cheese from Four Fat Fowl- "St. Stephen."
See you soon! -Mark, Diana, Eva and Noah
