Preservation Series: Blanched Kale or Chard

Introduction
More greens than you can eat in 1 week?! Have no fear, follow these EASY steps to preserve your kale or chard over the summer so you can enjoy these delicious greens in soups or other recipes during the winter.
Steps
Cut stems away from greens and chop to desired sizes. Discard or compost stems.
Bring a pot of water to boil.
Add leaves to boiling water. Boil for two minutes.
Remove leaves from boiling water and place greens into ice water bowl for 2 minutes.
Place greens into freezer ziplock bag or food saver bag and freeze for up to 1 year. Do not forget to label! :)

1 pot 3/4 filled with water
1 bowl filled with ice water
