How to Maximize a Whole Chicken

Steps

Day 1:

  • Place whole chicken in a crock pot and rub with fresh herbs, olive oil, and salt.

  • Cook on low for at least 8 hours until desired tenderness.  Serve slices of meat with fresh salad with favorite dressing.

Day 2:

  • Place shredded left over chicken meat into a bowl.  Add desired mayonaise, mustard, celery, onion to obtain preferred texture.

  • Serve on favorite bread and cheese with lettuce and tomato.

Day 3:

  • In a large stock pot, boil chicken carcass, slow cooker gelatin, bayleaf, and parsley.  Allow to simmer for one hour.

  • Strain the stockpot contents.  Pick any remaining chicken off of the carcass and add to strained broth.

  • Add egg noodles or rice, greens, carrots, celery, corn, greenbeans, and salt.

  • Enjoy a hearty soup!
